It seems only appropriate to introduce Jeremy to you today.

Jeremy always thought he would retire after a lengthy Army career. He enlisted in early 1992 after a halfhearted attempt at college and found success easy. He attended Basic Training, Airborne School, and Air Assault School, where he received numerous awards and accolades, but felt that he could better serve as a leader. An R.O.T.C. scholarship brought him to the University of Dayton. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Psychology in 1998, was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant, sent to training, and deployed
to Germany.

As an officer, Jeremy served two combat tours in Iraq, the first in Baghdad and the second in Mosul, earning a Bronze Star for his service.

After his second tour, Jeremy and his family settled in Avon. He went on to earn his Master’s in Health Care Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University and is in the final stages of earning his Master’s in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University.

Jeremy’s focus is supporting military families as they deal with issues related to suicide prevention, addictions and combat trauma. To connect with Jeremy directly, email jeremy.echerd@caretochange.org, text 317-790-9396, or link here.
