A hardworking extrovert who love helping those around her accomplish more, Amber’s commitment to service has always been at the center of her life. After high school, the Noblesville native earned an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Purdue, then followed it with a master’s in Special Education from IUPUI.
She worked throughout central Indiana as a special education and general education classroom teacher for more than 15 years. She also used her experience to train other educators across America for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, before tiring of travel and choosing to stay close to her family.
Amber and her husband, Chuck, have been married for 17 years. They spend plenty of time together cheering on their two active teenagers, who play Tri-West Bruins soccer. The family belongs to Jamestown Christian Church, where Amber serves as church board secretary, worship team member, and high school youth sponsor. In her rare moments of free time, you’ll find her hiking, baking, spending time outside, and sharing stories and laughter with friends and family.
